children.dont.care.about.lists......................

i am a list person!!  i love to make lists but i love checking things off my list - even more. :) this morning was another reminder that my girls dont care about my lists.  i am becoming convinced that God gave me children so i will lighten up in life and stop to "smell the roses".  did anything negative happen because i spent the morning at a fancy tea party instead of unpacking more boxes and organizing more sutff??  NO quite the opposite. ;)  i had a lovely morning, dressed up, enjoyed my girls, laughed, drank tea.....  there were no arguements.  just rest. 

our pastor pete wilson just preached on reducing the noise in our lives so we can hear God.  i think my girls are the ones who help point me to God.  they find joy in the simpleness of life - who cares about boxes of stuff.  it was my prayer this morning that i would reduce the noise in my life - i am thankful that p helped me see how. XXOO

yes, this post is a little behind but i couldnt resist posting my newest, yummy, nephew.  he was born while i was home in indiana just like i was hoping.  there is nothing like holding a little, wrinkly baby.  they are so yummy with their little wrinkles.  they smell like heaven..................... mmmmmm. ;)

i know this post is past due.....................but i had to share it anyway. :)

my sister, katy looked so beautiful even a few weeks before she had griffin.  luckily we got a few shots one night right before or after it rained, i cant remember.  i just remember thinking after the photo shoot, ok, i can relax now.  i was so afraid the baby would come before the photos! :) and   sure enough, he came a few weeks early.

megan and tommy are getting married November 8!! :)  we were able to grab some engagement photos when i was in indiana a few weeks ago.  it was extremely humid but they were great sports about still "workin it out".  i had a great time hanging out with them and as you can see, they are absolutely adorable.  thanks guys, for working around my schedule.  cant wait for the wedding! :)
